Betwixt

A Pastiche of tales to soothe your eyes and blessed soul with music, love, drama, and hijinks, best told by the masters.

Did you ever see a lassie,
A lassie, a lassie?
Did you ever see a lassie,
Go this way and that?
Go this way and that way,
Go this way and that way.
Did you ever see a lassie,
Go this way and that?
Did you ever see a laddie,
A laddie, a laddie?
Did you ever see a laddie,
Go this way and that?
Go this way and that way,
Go this way and that way.
Did you ever see a laddie,
Go this way and that?

While her mother did fret, and her father did fume,
And the bridegroom stood dangling his bonnet and plume; (Lochinvar, Sir Walter Scott)

  Did you ever see a laddie,
Go this way and that?

Of all its wreathed pearls her hair she frees;
       Unclasps her warmed jewels one by one;

Of candied apple, quince, and plum, and gourd;
       With jellies soother than the creamy curd,
       And lucent syrops, tinct with cinnamon;
       Manna and dates, in argosy transferr'd

Until the poppied warmth of sleep oppress'd
       Her soothed limbs, and soul fatigued away;

The chains lie silent on the footworn stones;—
The key turns, and the door upon its hinges groans.

       And they are gone (The Eve of St. Agnes, Keats)

 Did you ever see a laddie,
Go this way and that?

No one fights like Gaston
Douses lights like Gaston

In a wrestling match nobody bites like Gaston! ( Gaston, Disney's B&the B)

Did you ever see a lassie,
Go this way and that?

As long as there's Christmas we'll all be just fine
A star shines above us
Lighting your
Way and mine (Disney, Enchanted Christmas)

 Did you ever see a lassie,
Go this way and that?

The Huntsman: Hey! What the hell’s going on? Who are you? Why does the queen want you dead?
Snow White: She wants everyone dead, all of us!
The Huntsman: What makes you so damn valuable?
Snow White: You should know, you’re the one hunting me!

“But I have come to learn there is no peace while others suffer.”
― Lily Blake, Snow White & the Huntsman
